Privacy, by talking only to your KVM
KVM Remote is made by Peth Pty Ltd. This page describes the current app and this website in plain language. Last updated 12 September 2026.
For the full details, including information handling, your rights and contact options, read our privacy policy.
The app talks to your devices, not to us
KVM Remote connects directly to the KVM devices you add. Your login details and every keystroke and mouse movement go to that device so it can act on the remote computer. Video and optional audio come back from the device to the app. Nothing passes through a server run by Peth Pty Ltd, and the app has no account system, no advertising and no analytics.
If your device supplies STUN or TURN servers for connection setup, those operators can see connection information such as IP addresses. Your device vendor and network provider have their own privacy practices. A connection you explicitly configure as plain HTTP is not encrypted.
What stays on your iPhone, iPad or Mac
Saved device names, addresses, usernames, groups, preferences and pinned certificates are stored locally. A remembered password goes into Apple’s Keychain, never into the device list file. One-time verification codes are used to log in and are not saved. There is no cloud sync of your own; your operating system’s backup may include app data according to your settings.
Screen content, clipboard and files
Screen text recognition runs on your device. Snapshots, copied text and diagnostic exports are saved or shared only when you ask. An ISO you attach as virtual media is sent to the selected KVM. Clipboard text is sent to the remote computer only when you use a paste or typing command, and it is never logged.
If you turn on microphone or camera sharing, the app asks for system permission and streams that media to the selected KVM for the remote computer to use. It keeps no recording, and sharing stops when the session disconnects or fails, enters view-only mode or moves to the background.
Diagnostics
The app keeps a bounded local log and writes events to Apple’s system log. Credentials are redacted, but a log can still contain device names and network details, so review an export before sharing it. Nothing is uploaded automatically. During TestFlight, Apple may collect crash information and feedback under its own terms and make it available to us.
This website
This website uses Google Analytics to understand visits. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled, and our page-view configuration omits URL query strings and fragments. We do not send anything you type into the contact form as an analytics event. Google processes analytics information under its privacy policy. You can block analytics with browser privacy controls or Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cloudflare delivers the site and processes the network requests needed to do so, which may include IP addresses and request information.
Contacting us
The contact form sends your name (if provided), email address, enquiry type and message to our team by email through Cloudflare Email Service, and uses Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. Turnstile loads only on the contact page. Please leave passwords and remote screen content out of your message.
App Store services
Downloading the app and any future purchases through the App Store are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policies. The release version’s privacy information will also appear on its App Store listing.
Updates and contact
This page will be updated if the app’s data practices change. See the privacy policy’s contact and complaints section, or visit our contact page.
